Walking Woman Featured Art
Footprint
As an Artist, I get some colors, and just keep walking.
In 2021, after a long practice of small plein-air studies and LARGE studio abstractions, I focused on blending the two completely.
I cut a large cardboard stencil of WOMAN. Distorted and impossible, this figure is a Bridge between Decoration and Observation.
I use stencils because they’re fun, complicated and repeatable. Repeats reduce individuals to Patterns. She tries to walk out of these manmade landscapes, our American Bonsai, but drags them along.
THIS IS NOT "FAIR," and it’s also not "personal": That Fantasy of Getting AWAY... from IT ALL ... is just that: Fantasy.
As an Artist, I get some colors, and just keep walking.
